This variant of the L-Series engine is the easiest to tune for moderate-serious performance gains. On a stock car you can quite easily see 130-135bhp, however with a relatively inexpensive injector upgrade can see up to 155bhp, which is approximately a 50% gain from standard!

We have conducted extensive research in tuning these vehicles, many hours have been spent reverse engineering the control unit with an emulator and a ZR has been purchased specially for development and testing, and as a result we are pleased to be the only company offering maf-delete software upgrade for these vehicles that do not circumvent the limp-mode feature, allowing the MAF sensor to be disabled, with fuelling control set by air pressure readings. We are aware that other
maf-delete solutions exist, however these generally force the maf sensor to be unplugged and use mass-air-flow substitution which is estimated, and leave the car in a somewhat 'tuned' limp-mode.
Not only is our research and knowledge of these management systems first class, but we have also pushed these engines harder than anyone else, we have exceeded 200bhp on the dynamometer with a Rover 45 running a test hybrid VNT turbocharger, and we plan to repeat this feat soon!
